Can anyone classify my betta?

I have had this female betta for about 3 years and do not know what kind she is. Can anyone give me more info on her?

Are you sure it's female? Anyways you can call her a "mustard gas" (but not a true mustard gas) or a blue yellow bi-color plakat, super delta plakat but PK is just fine

Thank you! When I bought her, she was labeled as a female. Does the fish look male?

She looks manly, only since she doesn't have the classic female thin body big tummy, she has muscle. Can you find an egg spot?

I'd say Plakat male. Mustard Gas is a common special name for blue-yellow bicolors but true Mustard Gases are an "extinct" line.
In stores, male plakats are often mislabeled. Especially young ones.
Gorgeous fish though :>
Bettas are really confusing to sex due to the only true reliable way to tell is ovaries which on metallics and dragonscales can be near impossible to see. I have bearded females for example.

Wow three years? That's impressive. I'd have to say it looks very male to me too. +1 to the mustard gas/blue-yellow bicolor plakat.

Interesting, it does look much more like the male pic than the female. It's a good thing that Babel is a unisex name! If I remember correctly, the container was labelled as a veiltail female, but I didn't think it was a veiltail when I looked up pics.

Also, I should add that when I got the fish, he was very runty and didn't have good color. He was at the back of the shelf and looked like he would never find a home because he was not very big or pretty. With age and a bigger tank, he got very pretty though. I just moved him from a 2 gallon to a 5 gallon and he's loving the space. I thought he would mostly stay in a small area, but he has been really using the whole tank. My little betta (which I also got because I felt bad for her) is in the 2 gallon now.
