Cool Jurassic Park Tank

Hello everyone! I wanted to let you all know that yes! I'm alive!

And furthermore.... I have progress to report!

First of all, lets start by saying hello to my newest tank theme for my 5 gallon;

The idea was sprouted thanks to a cousin while looking over dinosaur themed decorations. The initial idea was from her; I came up with the design!

This is my very first time using sand and thanks to Crossroads; she recommended a good brand, and I fell in love with Caribsea sand! I love it now! Its so soft, smoothe and easy to maintain! Goodbye gravel. I will never miss you. EVER.

While I gathered things and began to design the tank, and the initial design beings to come to life... Now it was time to go and get a betta!

And this lovely boy was spotted at Petsmart! He responded to my presence right away, danced for me, wiggled for my finger and continued to try and get my attention. I looked through many of them, before deciding on him. I just kept my eyes on him...

and his name.... is Dr. Grant! :D

I put him into the tank to acclumate into the water; well he just kind of glanced back and forth, then slowly turned around in the cup, slowly looking at everything. And then he freaked, and started trying to dart down into the cup. Trying to get out. xD

Eventually it was time to let him out!

He started exploring!

THEN, the heater I got didn't work, so I had to rush and go and get a new one asap! After getting one and realizing it was pretty much the length of the tank, I had to rearrange EVERYTHING. The design was redone, and my background had come in the mail as well!

FINALLY! I could put my finishing touches in this Dinosaur/Jurassic Park tank. And here is Grant enjoying his very, cool looking home!

I even got a flare!

There you have it! My new tank; and it is very, very cool! I am in love with this tank! It is 98% done. All I need now is a MTS snail for the sand and a nice addition to the overall look and then my Jurassic Park arch which is coming in the mail anytime.

Tank after its redesign! In all its glory!

is going into the tank when it arrives. I'll post a picture when it goes up!

I hope you all enjoy! I had a lot of fun with this tank! I hope to get a bigger tank one day and add on to it! Dinosaurs are my passion and so are bettas! I'm so happy I could combine the two!

Love your tank theme. JP is awesome, and I love archeology and dinosaurs, too. Can't wait to see how the arch looks in the tank.
