LOL! I used to have those when I was younger! Then they all died, because I was feeding them, and my dad though I wasn't so he would feed them as well....

They are basically brine shrimp aren't they?

I read the information on the website, and my only concern would be whether the chemicals used to keep the Sea Monkeys alive would affect a betta. They don't say what the chemical is.

They are very much fed to fish. I prefer to feed blood worms, but the more variety in your bettas diet the better!

If they are brine shrimp it shouldn't be a problem but who knows what chemicals come with "sea monkeys"

lol Sea monkies are pretty much brine shrimp. if you have kids and want a cheap version buy a container of brine shrimp eggs and hatch them when the fun wares off toss a fighter in there lol

NB: carefull on the amount the fish eats prob easier to suck some out and "inject" them into the fish tank haha

Well, it is exciting to offer your fish something live once in a while. However I do have 2 cats who would probably find a way to knock that container of sea-monkeys over. I also read in a book about bettas from Animal Planet that frozen or freeze dried food can be superior to live food because with live food you have to make sure that your stock of living organisms is healthy to give to your fish. If the prey is not healthy it's not good fro your fish. I have had difficulty keeping sea-monkeys alive for long, probably due to lack of oxygen.

So I'm thinking frozen brine shrimp but how can I feed this to my one betta without polluting the tank? I'm used to pellets and freeze dried blood worms that float so my betta is sure to eat them. I tried freeze dried brine shrimp but he bites them and spits them out, even if I break them in tiny pieces.

Brine shrimp! My bettas LOVE frozen brine shrimp... and bloodworms... and mysis shrimp... and, and!
