Pre-Spawnlog questions.

Woot, I now have my male and female in conditioning tanks, as well as my spawning tank halfway done. Now I have some questions..

1) From the picture, does what I have so far look good? (I know I still need sponge filer and plants.)

2) I have AIL in leaves, how many/when should I add them? (I'm looking to put the pair in in about two weeks.)

3) What water conditioner/antibacteral stuff should I add and when?

4) I have seen people cover the tank with seran/veggie wrap to keep it moist and humid, should I try that?

Also, concerning the pair;

I think I should expect to get mostly red-devils from these two correct? What else might pop up?

My backup female is either a bleached cambodian or a light pink/yellow with white body; if I end up using her what could I get?

ADD Some plants. load it up with plants. the more the merrier. you shout get devils, black orchids,reds with some black and multis. keep the heat in with saran wrap. it hepls develop their labrinth organs. i am not sure about the backup females though.

The temperature should be at 80--82 degrees. The plants (live) will not only give the female and babies a place to hide but will also provide food for the babies.

Thanks, what about the AIL question? And what if any anti-bacterial stuff should I get? ( to prevent fungus in the eggs)

I would use one leaf. AIL already has anti-fungal purposes, so you shouldn't have to buy anything else in that department.

A lot of breeders use IAL in their tanks.
