Cascade heat heaters

Anyone use these? My local petstore has the 25 watt and the 50 watt on sale right now...8 dollars...

I may buy one just to try it out in my critter keeper...Was just curious what you all think about these heaters.

dang...They weren't on sale anymore... I still got one anyways..It was 14 dollars not on sale...ergh......It should do until I can get an Elite online though.
Then I can keep it as a backup.

I went into my local petstore today..and then I went to petco..can you believe they were trying to sell marineland heaters....7 dollars on sale...I was like ..isn't that illegal to sell recalled items!? I didn't have time to argue unfortunately..... I am pretty sure it is the marineland I returned too.
I also got 2 mystery plants from my local petstore...not sure what they are but they are nice looking.

They're VERY reliable and effective, just don't submerge them.

Of my six one's top broke loose and some water got in, if its on a ground fault circuit you'll be fine even in that circumstance. I use the small ones in my 2 gallon hex, they don't over cycle very far and are a reliable product line. PennPlax does know their stuff.

They are not as powerful as other heaters at same wattage, Hydors are the strongest I've used.

whoa. How do I go about not fully submerging it?It says on the package it is fully submersible... Do I just leave the knob part out right? So far so good though...It runs a little on the cool side..I had to adjust it up a bit..It doesn't have temperatures on it just a +and a - so it takes alittle adjusting to get it right..Most heaters I have had/have at the moment aren't accurate on the temperature knob anyways..My aqueons are on 76 but they keep my tank at 80. Anyways, I I think this heater would be better if my tank had circulation...I don't have a filter in my 3 gallon yet..
