Tell me what his tail is!

My new boy was called a Delta Tail on his cup at the store. But it has little spikes at the end like a crown tail, and they are too perfectly spaced to be fin rot. Is this slight spiking what delta tails are? I am so confused.

I wouldnt say you have a CT or a DT. You have yourself a gorgeous Half Moon.

hmmmm if you could get a good picture of you fishy from the side we could see his angle...if his tail looks like a perfect half circle you have a halfmoon, if its not quite a half circle hes a delta tail...as for the spikes i would maybe have to say half sun (a half moon with spikes on the end that looks like a small sun ray) hes beautiful! great find! hope you find some more info on his tail!

I got him from Petco. :D

So if he is not a Half moon then he would possibly be a Delta Sun? I like that. lol. Here are more pictures. The first one is just for fun. The second one is for the jury to weigh in on if he is a delta or a half moon. I am leaning towards delta.

I think he could very well be a halfmoon when his fins stretch out a bit, I wouldn't be surprised at all! Regardless, he took my breath away. That is one beautiful betta, his fins are just gorgeous!

He's a super delta, the slight web reduction is very common among halfmoons, deltas, and super deltas, but he still qualifies. The reduced webbing would have to be more drastic to be called a halfsun. :)

He's very, very pretty. If you have him flare in front of a hand mirror for about 2 minutes each day, eventually the webbing will stretch and he might make it to halfmoon~

I want to say HM with a bit of feathertail or rosetail. Either way he's just gorgeous.
