Fin rot/ maracyn dosage in a 2 gal

My CT with his gorgeous fins has sprouted fin rot. I'm doing the salt thing, but it's really frustrating. All that's happening is that it's slowely spreading It's nothing too serious, just some rays melted off, but it needs to stop. I have maracyn 2, which I've read is great for fin rot. So I think I'll change my treatment.

Can someone suggest a dosage, the instructions REALLY confuse me. I have a 2 gallon tank (I'd prefer something like "1 tsp first day" Over "1/3 of the packet the first day") Please respond and thanks!

EDIT: Hey, I dumped out the packet and there is almost no powder in there. The instructions say 2 packets per 10 gallons first day and days 2-5 1 packet per 10 gallons. Does half a packet first day, 1/4 a packet rest of the days sound good?

don't remember where it's from, but I found something about mixing 10 tsp's dechlorinated water with the packet, then using 1 tsp of the mix per gallon

Tisia: That sounds good... except I would be worried about evaporation of the water or the powder not dissolving enough (I don't want to waste/waist (confused XD) any as my parents rarely allow me to buy fish meds and when they do they make me put it off for a few weeks) /=

I use a small jar and cap it, the powder is kind of yellowish, so as long as you use something clear you can tell when it's dissolved pretty well
