Question...

Does anyone here not use tap water conditioner specifically for bettas? I was wondering if this would harm them. For instance, I was looking at the Aqueon Tropical Fish Conditioner because all three stores in my area are out of the conditioner I use, the Aqueon Betta Bowl Plus. I think I may order online because although one store had 3 different betta specific conditioners, I didn't recognize any of them and the measurements were odd. Just did water changes today and that used the last of my conditioner, so I have a few days that would allow me to buy online.

I keep bettas and I have never used any of the conditioners meant specifically for bettas. To tell you the truth it is just the same stuff just with a different name and a higher price.

I use PRIME. It is not specially made for bettas but it works really well...When my fish get sick I use stresscoat. But 98% of the time I use Prime.

my other problem is measuring in small amounts for my tanks. the local pet store had Sera, API, and Nutrifin. I have a large bottle of Nutrifin for bettas but don't know how to measure it haha

well if its cheaper then buy it. but there really isnt any difference at all so dont worry it wont matter if you use a different kind of tap water conditioner.

Prime is 2 drops per gallon which is nice. I usually use 3 because my tap water smells like pool water...
