Exclamation Anti paraite jungles fish food - help!

My CT has internal parasites. His belly is always slightly bloated, and he has white stringy poop. So I bought jungles internal parasite curing fish food. But I can't make any sense on how to use it. The package says to feed 1-2 times a day for 3 days a week, for 4 weeks. That means a month 0.0 I read some reviews talking about how their fish didn't have parasites any more a week into taking this stuff???? I need a quicker cure than a month as he's probably at a crucial state already. So, basically I'm asking if there is any way I could just feed him the medication in a way to speed up the proccess.

Also, just adding, I'll feed 2 pellets in the morning, 2 at night (They're the size of biogold pellets) Soaked for a very, VERY long time in either garlic or bloodworm (Which one?) juice because Bettas supposedly hate them.

EDIT: Oh, also, this may seem like a dumb question, but is it okay to use this at the same time as maracyn 2? (Some finrot issues that thanks to maracyn have practically stopped in just 3 days)

crush the pellets up if you can... I put mine in a ziplock bag and then wack them with a hammer. They're pretty big for a betta if you leave them whole.

I know it seems like a pain, but follow the directions. I cured my first CT-F, Bog, using these pellets. She was chronically bloated and had evidence of parasites. You can e-mail the company is you want to deviate from those directions.

Don't worry about him not eating them right away. If you feed him in QT, he will eat them eventually... because bettas are hungry little buggers!

I don't know about the maracyn 2 interacting with the anti-parasite meds. I should think if you started treatment, it should be followed through. Again, if you have any doubts, drop the parasite-med people a quick e-mail and ask.

Good luck, dear! Hope your CT makes a full recovery! :)

The reason it takes so long to kill off internal parasites is that they have a life cycle where they are only susceptible to medicine at certain times. It takes several rounds to kill them off entirely but you will see improvement after the first few days when you kill the adult parasites.

What is the active ingredient in Maracyn II? How many more days do you have?

I think I'll hold off on the fish food for a few more days as I am 3 days out of 5 into treatment for maracyn. I guess I can't speed this up /= So I guess I'll just have to be patient and hope for the best. Thanks!
