getting a feathertail

so breeding rosetails/feathertails are out of the question, but how do you produce one? 2 HMs with insane finnage?

I think its just a mutation, like you can get a few in a spawn, and the more theyre bred, the stronger and stronger the FT/RT look gets.

Methinks its just a happenstance thing with HM's, though I could be wrong.

Most breeders avoid breeding for rosetails since that can lead to x-factor fish, who have scale issues, collapsing finnage, and shorter ventrals. But, I'm pretty sure they are just bettas with excessive branching, so I'm guessing two bettas with a lot of branching could produce rosetails, and with enough breeding feather tails.
