coconuts?

i was reading some posts about deco's for tanks, and came across what seems to be a a popular item..coconut...im new to this and sorry for the dumb question,...but a real coconut shell?? If so how woud you prepare it for use in a tank, this sounds like an awsome deco??

I believe you need to remove all the "hair", wash well, and bake(?) it. It seems like lots of trouble to me, hah!

If youre looking for unique stuff in a tank, try using fake silk flowers from craft stores. They need to be unscented and cant have metal in their stems or have that fake pollen junk on them. Soak them for a few days in warm water to see if the color leeches and to clean them. Buy a higher quality just to be safe.

Its an interesting look, I have a few large, orange lilies in mine that they love to lay on and play in :B
