I found a 3 gallon acrylic tank at a thrift store last week...It came with a little hood light. The only problem I am having is finding a light for it..Right now there is a tiny Incandescent light in there..Pretty small...It looks like an appliance light..Toaster oven or something...
...I hate the way it makes the tank look...I would like to put a different light in there if I can...
The lighting case has this on it:
120V 60 HZ 5W
(It also states not to put a light over 5 watts)
I was wondering if anyone knows if they even make CFL lights that small...I would love to have live plants in this little tank eventually, but I left them out for now as I haven't been able to find a CFL light that small yet..
This may be a long shot but..If I cant find a CFL...Will moss gross under incandescent lighting?
I may end up just pitching that light attachment and using a desk light maybe....If I cant find a CFL that will work..
