That's possible! This whole area used to be Lenape territory. My husband is part Lenape.
I'm trying to not make a big deal of it. I used to work in house that was haunted. I'm kinda used to it but that knock really caught me by surprise. It was otherwise quiet in the house. I hate being startled.
I do at night, for sure. I sleep with a fan on in our room. Daytime, I'm not so bothered. I'm a big jumper though. I startle VERY easily. I like to call it a very developed fight or flight response, rather then.... I'm a big scaredy cat at night.
yeah, during the day I'll usually have like the tv or some kind of background noise going so it's fine, but laying in bed in the dark hearing every weird little sound with nothing to distract myself with, eep. I'd probably go with the flight part rather than the fight, lol
LOL! You would NOT. You'd probably think just what I thought... something fell, something didn't fall... what the heck? By then it was over. :P The drain thing? THAT freaked me out. But again, we didn't SEE it happen. If it would have popped off, and the screw levitated and screwed itself back in while I was in there? I would have run screaming out of the house. But trust me, that stuff NEVER happens when you're looking. It's like a game.
I thought that too! LOL! But the plumbing is on the other wall, not behind me. There IS a vent there but it stops at floor level and this was at head level. My house cracks all the time too. We live on water. That's a sharp sound, like wood cracking. Everyone knows that sound. This was exactly like a knock on drywall. I tried knocking the door and the wall and it sounded like the wall to me. I've never heard that sound in the bathroom wall and I've been here 5 years almost.
I think it's the ghost of laundry that needs to be done, telling me that the pile isn't getting any smaller.
