Nano Aquariums...

So I've been considering getting a nano aquarium for a betta and maybe some shrimp. Can anyone suggest some good brands? And any pros or cons...

I thought nano was a term for under 10 gallons, so I'm not sure what you mean by nano tank unless all your fish have more than ten gallons apiece? In which case, why change anything?

You may be right, I was thinking nano was a specific term for a certain type of aquarium. Like this,

rinsing gravel isnt a must, but its a good idea...


but i like this , i might have a new way to get my shrimp tank going.

I wish the U.S. would get some nice glass nano kits like the rest of the world.

Check out the fluvals for a nice rimless and more modern design. Expensive but quite nice looking.

I am tempted by the Fluval chi - very much so, but at the moment they are about $100 here in South Africa so its not an option for me at this point. Maybe one day. Also keep in mind the fluval chi is open top so the water apparently evaporates very fast.
