Sillycone - The main trick is changing the water frequently enough so that the ammonia level stays close to zero. It's going to be very hard to do in that size tank, probably impossible, but cleaner water is better. Here's a link to the Goldfish Aquarium Board's disease page.

honestly, they need to do 100% at least once a day to keep the ammonia down at acceptable levels for the fish... :P
