Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! We've decided to name him Viggo... 1.) Because I'm a big LOTR fan and 2.) It just seemed right for him. Do you think he is a HM? He was sold to me as a Delta. ^_^ I'm at work right now so I can't get his photo off of my facebook grrr.

Well there is a high chance that he is a delta, and there is a high chance he is a HM.

To tell for sure, we are going to be needing a picture of him flaring. Put a Mirror to his face and take a picture when his fins extend to their fullest.

"Viggo" is perfect! So handsome (both of them). I have an oto (otocinclus) named Miranda for similar reasons.

BTW, if that 6.6 gal tank you're talking about is PetCo's bookshelf unit, let me congratulate you! My new little girl Bettina is thrilled with hers, and patrols it with a vengeance. Never know when a shrimp or snail might get out of line. It's easy to situate; the light, when it's on, is just right; it was easy to "decorate, and it's way easy to access for maintenance. Hope you like it as much as I do.

And I am sure the Viggo, in all his gorgeousness, will feel like he's snared his kingdom, without all the hard work!

I'll for sure get a mirror and get him to flare up. I have a fairly good picture of it now that I took with my phone... I'm thinking Delta but I'll let you all decide!

GeryCat -- Miranda Otto ;) She is a lovely actress and did such a great job in the movies. And, it is the bookshelf unit from petco! I've had one in the past but had to get rid of it... it didn't have a betta in it just goldfish. Now, I want to get a couple more betta so a couple of those would be really nice in my place.

Here are some pictures I took today of my little Viggo! That's as flared as I could get him without a mirror...
