Betta went skydiving.

And forgot his parachute.

Okay, joke time over.

But really, Cheddar got sent flying off the shelf he was on thanks to one of the cats.

His KK hit the floor, spilt, sending him out onto the floor flopping around, and then the KK lid magicly landed on him like a protective barrier.

All while I was not at home.
But my mom was, and was able to save him from the swarm of cats around him.

There was just alittle bit of water left in his KK (which amazingly did not bust), so mom got one of my betta cups I saved and put the water, and him in the cup.

I got home about 10 mins ago, I've given him a water change, and have already dosed him with some meds that are for bettas with open wounds and such, for there's a big "blood" streak on his bottom fin.

Is there anything else I can do? He seems to be okay, his behavior is normal.

Now, now...the cats are just being cats....no need to punish them for doing what cats do and it wouldn't do much good anyway......

Keep up with daily water changes for a few days and watch the fins/body for any secondary infections...careful with the temp...not too high especially with a stressed fish with possible open wounds......
What kind of medication did you add....

It really all depends on the cat. Most of the cats my mom has leave my fish alone, only one (the trouble maker), likes to try and get my fish. If the cat is calm, he/she shouldn't bother the fish, they might sit and watch them, but shouldn't try to make a sushi-snack out of them, least thats my experience.

If I ever get a cat it won't be allowed in my room unless I'm in there with it.
