Question disinfecting a clip-on light

I recently cleaned one of my acrylic tanks with hot salt water, but I'm not sure if I cleaned the clip on the light as well as I could have. The back of the clip is where the electronics for the light are, so I can't just dip it in water. I was thinking I would make a vinegar/water solution and wipe the clip part with a cloth with the solution on it, and then rinsing by opening the clip and running the non-electronic part under water. Would this work? Or do I need to soak it? Also, what would be the best ratio of vinegar to water?

Is the clip going in the water? If it's not then I don't think it's necessary to disinfect it.

The clip will most likely be touching the water.

So does anyone know what would the ratio of vinegar to water be?

I would use a strong solution but that is me. I tend to go half water half vinegar. Especially since your rinsing it off. If possible just let it air dry for a day or so with the plastic parts in sunlight for a part of the day at least.

I'll probably try that ratio. If recent weather's any indication, though, I doubt I'll be able to dry it in the sun. It's been raining and overcast for about 2 wks where I am. :(

Not sure of the make and model. It's the light that goes with this tank...

Half water, half vinegar is the ratio I used. The light is clipped onto the tank, now.
