Arrow Update on the rescue boy

Decided to start a new thread, the other one was getting pretty long!

He is still alive as of this morning, and his color is definitely better, still not swimming or eating though. I'm going to do a water change and redose him with salt. I REALLY hope he starts swimming soon :(

His color improving is a good sign. Does he ever go up for air? I know you lowered the water, is he able to get it now? If so i think he just might be okay! Well im hoping so anyways. Its always the worst looking rescue ones that end up being beautiful, it almost seems like if they were that pretty theyd have been sold and never gotten into the condition they are in, so i like to think that they were average before getting sick and your compassion brings amazing colors out of them :P Corny i know :) Keep it up :D

seems funny feeling kind of attached to a fish I've never even seen in person, but I'm definitely rooting for him ^_^

Well he made it to this evening...his color is good and his stress stripes are gone, which up until now were VERY dark, but he still just lays on the bottom of the tank and won't move... :(

What do you guys think? Give him another day or so, or am i just prolonging his misery? :(

Give him a chance. As long as he's not pineconed he may very well just be exhausted. The poor little guy may be using up his energy trying to keep himself going. Give him a few days.

Give him time...Its ultimately up to you, of course.
I would say give him at least a few days. After that, then consider letting him pass, though please, find humane and correct ways, there are lots out there that are incorrect and painful :c

At least, while with you, he's warm and clean... More than he's ever had.

Maybe try getting him some bloodworms or daphania? Maybe start a culture of sea-monkeys and feed him that. All three a betta can simply NOT resist.

Live foods are great. Sea monkeys are cheap, but might take a bit (idk, a day or two?) to grow..

Lower his water level so he can see them..

I'm not sure any of the local places have live foods...I think they are all either frozen or freeze dried....should I go with frozen?
