Oh, snoogerbots!!!!!

I went to a local pet store in the mall today 'just to have a look'...

There were copper HMs...
For $9.99 (Canadian)...
Usually HMs are $19.99 at that store...

Dangit!

Turns out one of the ladies who works at the store has started breeding bettas, and she brought in some of her babies. That's why they were cheaper than usual.

So, I am the proud owner of 'Newfie' (cause he was bred here in good old Newfoundland!), a copper HM. Sooooooo happyyyyyyy!!!!!

Pet City in the Village Mall, btw. Just in case anyone living in the St. John's or surrounding area is looking for a copper HM. There was only one left after I bought this one.

You don't find many coppers (or halfmoons, for that matter) here in NL. Him and his brother were the first ones I've seen. Thankfully, I managed to restrain myself from doing a happy dance.

I know who you're talking about, she is so friendly, and when I went in for live plants and food, she wouldn't let me leave till she knew I had a heater.

I was a little concerned about him this afternoon, he wasn't moving around much. There's a light on his tank, but I don't want to plug it in yet just to make sure that there's no water in it from when I rinsed it out, so I put a lamp next to his tank this evening, and he perked right up.

So here's some pics of him that I took in the lamp light (with flash and without), so he might still look different once I turn on the tank light.

And his new home...I'm considering taking the dinosaur out. It doesn't really match, I just couldn't resist, it was so cute.
