Moving out with bettas + other stuff

I will be moving out in december and I wish to move with my bettas with me, also my shrimps and snails if possible ;P

Can I like, send them by mail 1 day before I go or can you actually get on a plane with live fish stock? :P

Wow, uhm.

I _suppose_ you could take a single betta in an unopened liquid container of a specified size.

You can probably pack them into a carrier arrangement for transport as a single pet but you're talking a couple hundred dollars. Shipping them could also be a couple hundred dollars for them to survive.

Can you book transport that isn't flight, such as bus/rail and get where you're going (or car rental?)?

Call the airline, youd be surprised what they'll allow.

They know fish need clean water to live in, so theyll let you bring it aboard so long as its the right size. They may test the water, but thats ok.

We had a member a long while ago with the same question, and they called the airline (a US airline, mind you, post 9-11 >_<) and it was okay.

You can also package and mail them, so long as youre comfortable with that. There is a sticky on how to do so.
