Finrot

Hi,
I'm new here and a new betta owner. My male betta, Pesce Rossa, has finrot. I'm currently using this thing called Binox from Jungle Labs to treat it. Has anyone used it before? It says it's safe for all freshwater fish.

Just looking at it for a second, it looks REALLY strong! Jungle makes great medicines, but theyre usually pretty powerful.

How bad is his fin rot? If it isnt really bad, and only say, slight tattering of the fins and maybe a bit of discoloration, Id recommend switching to Aquarium Salt, and use 1-1.5tsp/gallon of it, pre-dissolved, with 100% daily water changes and a salt redose for 7-10 days :)

I second this. Unless his fins are turning completely black and shredding to bits, aquarium salt is the safest way to go. Too much meds can harm the fish, plus they can build up an immunity to them.

Again, I'm new so I'm not an expert, but I'd say it's bad. I'll post a pic if I can but it looks like at least 30% of his hind tail is gone.

Yes, pics will be great! And ouch! I might be fine, but even with that, salt can still help quite a lot.
