Exclamation HELP!! female betta

my female Betta jumped out of the cup when i was cleaning and rearranging the tank and landed on the floor, i quickly grabbed her and put her in the cup again, she has a bit of dust and dirt on her, and is now in the tank again, but is just sitting on the ground. What can i do to make sure she survives??

It sounds like you got her right back in to the tank as soon as she jumped out. She's probably a bit stressed from the experiance, so I'd leave her in low light for the day.

If she has trouble swimming or reaching the surface (remember, fish sleep and after the stress, she may want to do a bit of that), you can put your betta in a floating container in the tank, with just enough water to cover her, so she can just reach up to get air.

But I really do think she just needs some quiet time.

If she seems like she's getting worse, post again. :)
