Hopeless is upright and is able to swim alittle more today but he still will tilt on one side if he relaxes. He has also started to pinecone around his wounds and on one side of his body. But his fins have started growing back like crazy no idea what thats about and now he has only one red spot left on the top of his mouth but its large and trails down around the side also he will take food but acts like he cant swallow it.... it also look like something is hanging out of his mouth....
I changed 50% of the water and added another tsp per gallon to see if I can hold off the pine conning

Aw thank you I am too he looks a little more perked up, even with the tiny bit of pine-coning that I am hoping is just some slight swelling, and im not imagining his better mood.

I'm no the expert here, but I would suggest if he's having trouble swallowing you may want to look into some frozen brine shrimp. They seem to be able to slurp those a lot easier than they can CHOMP, CHOMP pellets.

Just be sure not to put too much in there. It's so easy to overfeed brine shrimp, and so easy to sully up the water. I suggest thawing it in some of his tank water, then sucking up one brine shrimp at a time with a dropper. Squirt slowly or it will shoot right past him.

He needs calories to rebuild fins, immune system, etc.

Best of luck!

He sounds like he has a bit of a swim bladder problem if he sometimes has a hard time staying upright. I'm not really sure how to cure swim bladder problems (sorry) I just know what it looks like. My fish Berry had swim bladder when we got him. But, within three days he died before we could learn how to cure him. (He didn't die of the swim bladder though, don't worry) I hope he gets better!

General theory on swim bladder disorder is to fast them until they poop, and make sure they're in a solitary, heated tank.

I'd worry about fasting this fish, though, since he has so many other issues going on.
