Bullet's progress

I got Bullet a CT back in March from Walmart. He looked pretty pitiful. His fins were pretty messed up and he had a huge split in his back fin. I don't think his back fin is every truly going to recover. He is most likely going to always look like a doubletail crowntail but maybe the healing is just going to take a long time because of how bad it was.

I spend the most time with Bullet because his tank is at work in my cubical. He is a very shy guy and scares easily. He does however beg constantly and always comes out from where ever he is when I turn my chair to look at him. He flares at my finger and pens. It cracks me up.

Anyway...here is Bullet.

Back in March when I got him in his temporary 1 gallon:


After 3 months and in his 2 gallon circular tank...He does not like to have his picture taken! I think because my iphone has a hot pink case on it. I am amazed I got a decent one.



I just think he is so darn cute!

I don't think that's a rip. He truly looks like a doubletail crowntail. He has the large dorsal fin that DBTs have, and that split is SUPER even.

I was kind of wondering that since that split hasn't shown any improvement while the other splits in his tail have regrown but I have never heard of a doubletail crowntail. And the 2 sections are really 2 far apart to just merge back together like fin splits usually do.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw him -- double tail. That's AWESOME.

Yeah, he's definitely a double tail. It's too perfectly proportioned to be a tear. Lucky you!

Honestly, I don't necessarily like it that much but maybe once all of his rays grow out nice and long. Don't get me wrong, I think he is really cute but not because of his tail. If that makes any sense. Lol!
