So Fabio is settled in quite nicely, he exercises a lot chasing the fleeting reflections of himself on the tank. He flares when we show him himself in the mirror, and he is eating!
But there is something that piqued our interest and concern. The hard dry pellets that we bought from the fish store seem to give him trouble. He tries to chew them, and always spits them out, Then either keeps on trying to break them down or goes back after their soggy. Also, today, he was very determined to chew one up, and his colors on his cheeks, two streaks, turned a silvery red. We were afraid because they almost looked like cuts or burns, but after he finished chewing/trying to swallow, his face returned to normal.
Should we change food? Is such rapid color change normal?
Help us out!
I would post a picture of the Fab-ster in his new home, but for some reason the 8Mp camera on my phone isn't capturing him good D;
