ugh.. five bettas later..
well, he's dropped his fins, and it seems he IS a delta. he's still very pale, but his fins are a kind of pale pale minty color, and he still refuses to eat. i'm trying to get him used to the idea that bloodworms are yummy nom noms, but he just won't have anything to do with them. he picks at the two pellets that have sunk to the bottom, but won't eat them.
i'll give him another day or two before i go into full-on panic mode
that.. woman.. needs to be fed a five-course gourmet meal prepared by a top chef. then i'll chain her to a chair, force-feed her ipecac and duct-tape her mouth shut. 'nuff said.
Why should it be a five course gourmet meal? Feed her McD's. I mean, it's not like the bettas get gourmet.
Well, considering his health, the VT price seems fair for a delta. Not to mention his rough treatment at checkout. I'd say fair is fair.
Yup, another day before panicking. I've heard that one . . . from myself. And five minutes later I'm on the forum "My new girl won't eat! It's only been a day and I know she needs time to settle in but she won't eat!"

She is really pretty, I would love to see more pictures
of her.
Thank you, Twilight. I think so too. I'll get pics of her soon but so far, they'd all look like the others: nose down, staring at her reflection on the bottom of the tank. She's so silly.

I know, I can't keep calling her "unidentified color" forever. Oh well. Hey, she's a girl. It's like she's trying on different clothes for a big date. "This one? Nah. Maybe this one. Ugh. I'll try this one."
Fellow Betta addicts, in the honor of this threads name I present to you how I get around such pesky things as few outlets and space: a shelf where each tier holds up to 500lbs and power strips a plenty. Also garage sales! I got a 20 gallon for $2 at one earlier this year.
