If only bettas were coldwater fish; I'd have well over 30.
I've been thinking getting a heater with a digital thermostat and heating my room up. not sure if I'd be able to stand heat in the 80's constantly, but definitely considering it, lol
I like your tank stand, it's lovely. Stores are pretty easy about returns except right after Christmas. I think most employees are too busy to check thoroughly anyway but you were nice and honest about how the stand got bunked up.

Hey, I wanna bounce an idea off all of you. What do you think about a betta rescue? I'd love to rescue so many bettas but I can't keep them all. What if I rescue them, get them back to health and then post on craiglist, offering them free or super cheap to qualified homes? Worth the effort or not?
Thank you guys, that tank is for my betta sorority! So far I have 5 girls, a bristlenose plestostemus, and 3 threadfin rainbows (they are tiny but super cool looking!) I hope to add my other 2 girls in a few days. One has been in solitary 3g world for awhile so hopefully she accepts the others. The other one I got from petco a few weeks ago and have been nursing back 2 health. She didn't eat for about 1 week and I think she may have finrot cause her caudal edges are black. Anyway......... yes, since downsizing, I have gained about 10 bettas so.... yup, it's working.
