Back from the LPS! Saw my favorite bird, a Cherry Headed Conure. I was hanging from the Top of the cage by its feet,and started running around, upside down. So cute <3

saw a pair of birds at the pet store yesterday (had to get food for the other inhuman eating machine). I have no idea what they were, but I felt so bad for the poor girl, she was trembling, at least that's how it looked to me, reminded me of when I would take my cat to the vet. She had a strip of feathers removed from the back of her neck, I felt so sorry for her. The lady working there said it was the boy doing it, the he was the jealous type.
I hate pet stores sometimes. Before I could even say why not separate them, she said that doing that would stress them possibly to the point of death. I know nothing about birds, but I thought it still wasn't the best option.

I'm not an expert on parakeets, but as long as you keep the cages close, they aren't going to die or even get sick. Jesus, pet store people.

I had a pair of love birds that HATED each other. The female beat the bejeesus out of the male all of the time.

I guess it's just like human relationships - some people (and birds ?) just aren't meant to be together.
