when I originally got him, he was injured,, I was convinced I'd have a handicapped fish who would have to live in a shallow rubbermaid container. I'm so glad a few weeks on epsom salt and warm water helped. The fact he ate a bloodworm the first day with no prompting had me hopeful.

I can see how you would be afraid to put him under any unneeded stress then!
Love and enjoy him for his lifespan, without risking longevity for reproduction.

And his fins are so long! He's the kind of boy you wouldn't get so upset about tail biting, his tail does look like it drags him down (he's a VT tho). Well you would, but you'd understand it.
Honestly, he's o slow moving with his fins that I'm not too worried about putting in some RCS... should they ever get some in stock again.

well the little balls are filled with them. there's nothing in the middle except some of the caramel that dribbled in. it is indeed coffee flavored and I think it would taste amazing with some black coffee. I don't usually drink black coffee but I think with as sweet as it is the bitterness of the coffee would really off set the flavor, lol.
