My BB algae came to me from the pet shop. It's not really spreading, but I don't wanna get rid of the plants it's on. D:

I think we decided mine was from silicates in my substrate. Possibly too much light? Not sure. GRRR.

Champagne's tank has algae, I was picking up a few plants (of course) and spotted a nerite with a very interesting pattern. Champagne has a poop happy tank mate who spent 6 hours rasping away at the base of his no longer green silk flower. (yes, the silk was engrained with algae, or it still is, but wait til nerite finds what's not just on the floor!)

Mine is my portable algae machine. He gets shuffled from tank to tank, wherever he's needed. Just pick him up and plop him in. Right now he's in the sorority.
