Yeah, Malaysian driftwood is dark. Mopani is light.

Deep sand beds apparently work in some reef tanks but not in freshwater.

I'm wiling to pay.

I wish I'd known rummynoses were bottom swimmers beforehand. I don't have any fish that swim in the middle or upper part of the water column except the lone guppy. The 20gal looks funny because of that.

okay Sakura! that makes it easy x3

i think i'll go ahead and send them whenever you're ready. i don't have anything to ship them in yet, but i'll probably do ziplock bags with some water and a bit of air, with another one around that. and some packing peanuts, in a priority flat rate box. i just am not sure if they'll be okay for a few days without heat...they probably will. i'm just paranoid x3.

I don't know who asked, I just saw sakura's response to the deep sand bed thing. Something it actually will work for freshwater, actually. But the same rules apply as for saltwater. You'll only want a deep sand bed if you have a burrowing thing that can prevent dead spots. Sand for freshwater tanks will gather beneficial bacteria, but it Wont help to the capacity that live sand to a saltwater tank would. Sorry if that's already been answered :/
