Olympia OMG I love dwarf puffers they're adorable!@_@ I wish you were here I know a place that always has them as well as a freaking ton of different fish and inverts and frogs. And all kinds of bettas, it's where I got spike my veiltail!^_^

i swear they call the puffers they have in their brackish setup at the pet store i got my new girls "dwarf puffers."

they cant sex bettas though, so maybe their definition of brackish is something dumb and irrelevant.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo! His fins just grew back! 3 times I found 2 males on one side of the divider and now Phinneas has no fins. BAD EL KABONG, BAD!

and yeah...humid and hot here too

er..aren;t dwarf puffers braish? the pea green ones that walmart has in fresh water

Mmm a dwarf puffer would die in brackish water. I know the larger south American puffer can be kept in fresh water just fine, but dwarf puffers are the only true freshwater puffers, since the south American does well in brackish. Many puffers actually transition, you get a baby and it starts in brackish and you slowly up it to full salt.
