Our creepiest invasive species is the sea lamprey.

That reminds me of the snakehead fish. Its highly invasive and eats anything that fits in its mouth. Sometimes they kill something just to kill and not to eat. I saw this video clip on TV where some juvie snakeheads were being kept in a tank and a goldfish was tossed in. One of the snake heads bit the back end off of the fish and let the front have flounder about til it died.

Worst part about them is that they can breathe air and walk on land for a short while so they can effectively "hop" from waterway to waterway.

In Canada we mostly have aquatic pests. Not too many "escaped pets" survive our winters.

Florida alone has invasive pythons big enough to kill a full grown man, never mind a kid. The huge python in the pic I am going to add the link to actually managed to subdue and partially eat an adult alligator. Unfortunately it had eyes bigger than its stomach and the meal burst it wide open.

Crabby, I saw on animal planet that it's sort of a myth that they can hop to another waterway. I mean they could, but they're really bad at moving.
I want a lungfish:

That snakehead fish is extremley creepy, considering it can 'walk' as well makes it even scarier :o. Iv'e seen pythons and that on TV that bring down full wilder beast and stuff. It's totally bizzare :s

Well I do know that they come from those Asian folk who import them for food.

Sea lampreys came into lake ontario when we built canals. They are ocean fish but not surprised they do so well here, our pH is at like 8.4.
