After chickens are slaughtered and the human-grade parts removed, the clean parts of the carcasses are sent to the rendering plant where they’re ground up and rendered into chicken by product meal meal.

The AFFCO allows parts such as the following to be used for meat protein in chicken by product meal:

Necks
Feet
Undeveloped eggs
Intestines
AFFCO does not allow dog food manufacturers to include chicken feathers in the food, except for the ones that get in unavoidably “in good processing practice.”

Just baked some sand to dry it (old aq sand I'm using for an old alcohol bottle decoration.)... The oven just smoked the heck out of the house. woops. lol
