Olympia, metaphor is a comparison between two things where you call one thing another. Like a simile but without using "like" or "as". So a metaphor would be: "My fish are pigs". Saying my fish eat a lot and calling them something they're not but the listener/reader picks up on what I say bc it is universal that pigs eat a lot of food.
Oh who am I kidding, it's almost 1am and I want ramen now!!!
Just finished watching a movie called "Hidden in Silence" about a Christian teenage girl who hid Jewish people in her attic for 2.5 years during the Nazi invasion of Poland. Phew. Wow.
I'm sleepy but going to go in and read Maus for a while. I need more ww1 material.
