I love danios but the tank I'm setting up now is far too colorful and they would just blend into the background. :(

Urp.....that pastrami sandwich I ate for dinner is really coming back on me. >.<

Honestly, fish keeping has been the most stressful and the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Also guys, this is the 1 year anniversary since I started fish keeping with my first betta (I think it's today, might have been the 4th or 5th though). Look how far I've come in this time...
I'd have been nothing without this forum though.

Relic, that was an amazing fish she caught. I wonder if you have a local breeder of gardneri who supplies your pet store.

Hurray, Olympia! Yes, you have indeed come far. :D

Hi Kinetic. Hope you feel better. Take a tums?

Olympia, at that size, yeah, I can understand the pellets needing to be crushed. How tiny! I wish you could take pics.

Thanks guys!

Yes. They are tiny little buggers. They like sitting on top of their flower pot. It's adorable.

Do you guys think a lighter shade of wood or a darker shade would look better for the tank? The fish are like.. Kind of dark coloured, the sand will be light coloured. I don't know. The light wood is very light, and the dark wood is like, medium dark, not like Malaysian. It's manzanita, but it comes in like, 3 shades.

Since there's a good chance the fish will perch on the wood a lot, maybe a lighter shade to set them off? If you put moss around the base of the wood, that will set the wood off from the sand but the light colored wood will allow you to see the fish better.

EDIT: Miah, what do you feed them? My koi and goldfish are still only at like 8 inches max.

I just feed them a normal good diet of Pond Fish Pellets, Algea Wafers, and Goldfish flakes.
