Plants, i have this plan, cut the bottom off of clear plastic glasses, the 16oz ones, melt some holes in the sides and fill with gravel, and tie plant in. If you had some silicon for aquariums you could glue some of the gravel, or a rock in the cup.
I have to order the silicon... but have the cups. I hope it works, every time i clean the tank, the plants end up all over the place, I think they would live better not being floaty!!! I have one that always has a flower at the surface.
The last flower was like 3 inches long, on a stem from the bottom to the top and across to the other side, lol. Thats from a bulb i got at walmart.
I pasted a question in betta care? about what you do when you get new fish? if any would could help, Id give you big hugs!
I always overdue the sand. I'm gonna try and keep it light on the 90g. Not really getting rooted plants due to.. destructive fish.
Yes.. I had to include Sparky. I was like, zipping through his thread looking for photos!
those are neat ideas Aahnay. maybe i'll think about doing those!
can i just...dump more sand in? should i take all the fish out and carefully pour the new sand over the bottom? take water out too? i dont wanna mess up the filters. I guess I'd shut them off for a bit while putting new sand in. Or if i'm careful, would the fish be okay while i added more sand?
