On a happier note, our gerbils are adorable. I let them use a run-about ball today to see if they would like it and wouldn't hit things too hard. Teddy can't figure out what to do with it, and Dart loves it. He just goes and sniffs everything. He would bump gently into my leg, look at me, roll like a foot or two away, then roll back and look at me again. It was adorable. I didn't think he'd be smart enough, but he slows down or stops before he hits something.. unless it's white. He seems to have trouble seeing things like the refrigerator.
They are brother and sister.... he said if they die, hell mail me a better pair! I was just thinking about teasing him and saying 'that you didnt send me the best pair?'.
I really just wanted the male, but the female was added in. He is to be a mustard gas, which is what i want, but I think he looks like he is a cellophane too.
Have you ever seen the book, 'how cats do it?' its not about sex, lol, sounds like it though.
Get a white one
Ive been using this pic for my desktop, just changed to it a couple days ago. Before that had the bottom one. I think im going into a new phase, lol. going to bed cant find the one i had before, it wa a huge moon over a desert scene.
Thanks! They are sweet, but very skittish. I'm practicing right now with sitting my hand in the tank and letting them investigate it. Next I'll feed them sunflower seeds from their food. (: When I put them in the ball for the day, I made sure not to come near them with my hands and let them crawl into the ball by themselves. Are these steps okay to start with? Just wondering if I'm doing things okay. I can tell they weren't socialized. I don't mind it, I just don't want them to be afraid, either. I want them to feel safe.
