$60 bichir? Wow. Not even an electric catfish cost that much and I thought when I got Sparky he was going to put me back $100. He was downright cheap at $25.

I really want a rare fish that breeds so I can sell the fry.

Well, I've decided to get a Polypterus palmas instead of a Polypterus senegalus. Rarer and more expensive, but I like them more. The store said they can get that kind in.

If you're going to spend the money, it makes sense to spend a little more to get something you reaalllly want. :)

Yea. One palmas would be not that much more expensive than the 2 senegals I was gonna get. PLUS that's a heck less bioload if I only get one bichir.

No. Not for the bichir. The African knife still needs a name. One of the ropes is Mr. Noodles, not sure about the rest. The goldfish are Penelope, Pascal, and I was thinking Parker. But Parker is gonna be a boy, but it sounds like a girly name to me so may need something else.
