I'm glad Walmart doesn't sell fish in Canada, I'd bawl.

IT was one drop, maybe one and a half. But it didn't want to "mix". IT was literally oil and water, no matter how much I shook. I used a small baby food jar to shake it like crazy. The smell was in the containers, I tossed, the bottle lid, the jar, the wrapper, it reeked, I chucked. My hands... my hands smelled like death.

And then the kitchen smelled of death too.

*hugs* Silver, exact same here. The smell, oh lord, the smell. Never touching clove oil again.

Someone else said the same thing, that their fish jumped around after using clove oil. I bought Finquel to use next time.

I have a sensitive nose, no pun. The smell of air disinfectants, perfumes, raw/cooking fish (tuna/shellfish/the seafood counter) makes me physically ill. Air sprays knock me out. Scented candle stores make me stagger away.

You sound like my aunt. She was that same way. If you wore perfume near her, she'd harass you to death.

I'm sensitive too but not as sensitive as you are. I'm okay with most scented candles. Some cooking smells and many household cleaners do me in.

allergies are awful and make me really sensitive to smells too. my sister sprays crap everywhere, likes air fresheners, and then her boyfriend's car smells AWFUL and her purse just holds the smell, and it's AWFUL

i always ask her to spray outside or in the bathroom but nOPE

if anyone is still here? in my 4 gallon, i just realized i forgot to turn the sponge/charcoal filter back on .. its run by air and is the smallest little one that tetra makes.. I think its tetra.

I rem reading someplace that turning it back on can poison the fish.. its been off maybe 12 hours.. should i pull it? Its been about 33 days since i started it. So it could have biology in it.

Can i clean it with alchohol and get it back in there tonight? or...do I need to bleach it?

Eh I made some sour bait once, it you're not familiar with it it's raw fish and water putrified to the point of all solids being disolved. It's used for fishing but it never got that far, out of some morbid curiosity I opened to the container and took a wiff. BAD IDEA! It smelled so bad I couldn't get the smell out of my nose for a whole day!

And most perfumes and colognes make me sneeze and itch.
