I want ADF's, then I was walking through the mall and seen one of the stores with their brand new shipment of those death cube things (containing less than a gallon of water, a bamboo, gravel and 2 ADF). Calling them tomorrow. 60$ for them though, can't even "rescue" them for that price.

Dang it, lost another swordtail female! I had three in there and now I'm down to one again. Found another fry and put it in the 29gal but ticked about the females. Now the only remaining female is gonna get harassed until I can find more. Don't know why they're going down. :(

The shrimp are looking especially perky tonight. First the algae wafer s they nibbled at. Then I decided to try some flakes. Scarf city. 5 large, VERY RED females eating and fanning their bellies.

I feed my shrimp fish pellets, Silver. They make super pricey shrimp food you can buy online, it's supposed to help them breed and stuff. Don't know how true it is.

they don't eat the shrimp pellets, they float for so long.

The salvinia (I think) covers nearly the entire tank. I had to pull out two net fulls.

i am really happy with my tank though, thanks Laki! I am hoping later tonight i see the little guys swimming along with my bigger bronzes!


And Sakura, it's hard to tell, but I think you managed to have all male cories, lol. Which miiight be why they didn't spawn ;) Hope they spawn with my big girls though, i'm going to attempt to raise a few babies!!

Should I put Cindrella in the breeder net in the big tank to see if she can get used to it again? It makes me a little nervous, but I think she'd be happier in there, and that mom would be happier if there was not a fish tank on the table.

If you bought shrimp pellets, that's just fish food with shrimp.

I was about to ask you what you used. I tried feeding them this http://www.hikari.info/tropical/t_29.html but it floats and takes a while to sink. When it does the shrimp are usually gone and the snails attack.

Honestly I think part of my problem IS all the snails.

Awww, I always hold pellets underwater for a few seconds and they sink right away.
I would get rid of the snails if possible. They might be competing too much, with them gone you'd probably have more babies surviving. (Well, none have hatched yet I guess).

I wanna try the food I sent, some day when I have time to focus on shrimp. The hikari food is low in protein, that food is 50% protein, I think protein is really important for young shrimp and eggs.
