Bekah, well, that does explain a lot if they were all male. On the other hand, none of my other fish have ever attempted to spawn either. Egglayers don't like me, I guess.

Hi Yuuie. Sorry about all your Reader's Digest woes.

Think I'm gonna go eat, then it's time for the 8 PM feeding. See ya all later!

Is it normal for a betta to be shy? Zephyr is always hiding in the plants along the bottom of the tank, and only surfaces after I am far enough away that he can't see me anymore. He doesn't come up to eat, and I've tried the betta pellets multiple times. Out of sheer desperation, I've tossed in a pinch of freeze dried bloodworms and he's eating them now, only after I've hung back out of his range of sight.

I'll have to look into it. What I might have to do is use some of my NLS grow pellets. Just let em soak. At least until I can find something better. I just pulled out a bunch. I'll drop in two wafers, or break one in half on separate sides and the side with more snails than shrimp, scoop!

NLS grow is good too, that formula is also 50% protein.

Crabby, yeah. Riceball was like that for about two or three weeks. He'd skulk along behind his heater and because he was white, he blended in right with the wall behind his tank. Zephyr should get to know you after a week or so.

Reuban played dead with me for weeks, and hid whenever he could. but he shows off/flares at me now! And says feed me.

Swish and Zeddie always swim up to see me. With Swish it's more like "gaze upon my beauty and feed me." With Zeddie it's like "Hey old buddy! Feed me!"
