hi all back from work and once again getting frustrated with this email contest for reader's digest thing i'm in. it lets me get to a point then nothing, currently got it sitting on a blank page that is a post to have a deal i don't want on it.
Is it normal for a betta to be shy? Zephyr is always hiding in the plants along the bottom of the tank, and only surfaces after I am far enough away that he can't see me anymore. He doesn't come up to eat, and I've tried the betta pellets multiple times. Out of sheer desperation, I've tossed in a pinch of freeze dried bloodworms and he's eating them now, only after I've hung back out of his range of sight.
I'll have to look into it. What I might have to do is use some of my NLS grow pellets. Just let em soak. At least until I can find something better. I just pulled out a bunch. I'll drop in two wafers, or break one in half on separate sides and the side with more snails than shrimp, scoop!
Crabby, yeah. Riceball was like that for about two or three weeks. He'd skulk along behind his heater and because he was white, he blended in right with the wall behind his tank. Zephyr should get to know you after a week or so.
