Oh my gosh Sakura, I'm so sorry.
You're right, the process is so sudden and quick, which is for the best. I've seen it so many times, but it must be completely different when it's an animal you've grown to love.

DQ, one ADF is fine in a 3 gallon.

Thanks, Olympia. Yeah, I don't know why but I always thought it took several minutes.

Oh Sakura! *hugs* It's hard, I know. I'm sorry you had to.

I've never been there during one. I don't know if I could. *hugs even more* I'm so sorry.

No, it's very quick. Even I was surprised, the first time I watched. This skinny old male cat, was licking and purring and then gone before the needle was out.

At least she's not tiring herself out anymore. That's how I look at it.

Aw, Mo, that must've been so hard to lose an animal you've known all your life.

Yeah.. When I was really small I used to lay down ON him, lol. He died a few years ago.. Our little dog and cat got depressed too since they used to sleep on top of him. They were a cool little trio

I'm so heartless, I didn't feel bad about putting my first dog down. >_< She'd fallen down the stairs twice, part of her skull had caved in, she'd walk into walls, for like, 5 minutes straight and I couldn't hold her back . . .

How sweet, Mo.

I think I need to clean under my bed. I just found a dustball bigger than she was while looking for the Kleenex box.

Hate dusting.

EDIT: Olympia, when the quality of life is poor, I don't feel bad per se. I know it's the right thing to do for their sake. It's just the missing them part.
