If I find one more dead bunny,bird,squirrel...or any other dead animal in my yard, or patio or in the drive, I'm gonna start kicking these stupid cats in the face. 4 dead bunnies in as many days. Their not evening eating them...just killing them and letting them lay.
If you claim your rent expense in your loan application. Matt got loans from NS and he gets more than I do because he's a "distance" student and they covered bus passes and stuff once. If out-of-province loan offices know you'll be boarding in a new province they try to look after you. My loan gave me 5'500$ for this term. That covers tuition, living expenses and "allowances" for the term (bills and food basically). This is why I'm so frugal- stretch it as far as I can.
Newfoundland is a cheap place to live though because there's nothing to do!!! lol Tuesday nights is cheap at the theatre and there's no amusement parks or zoo's or theme parks in town. So really, there's nothing to do but study, work and hang with friends.
**eta** that school looks like you can complete your undergrad too.
Ohhh that's great! All this is still so confusing! :s
I know I can totally do my undergrad in Guelph, but I sort of want to go to another town as well, if that doesn't sound weird. xD Get some experiences of another town, instead of spending 6 years in just Guelph..
Living on campus wasn't right for me for a lot of reasons.
1. No money. I barely had enough to pay for tuition, when I'm renting this place for free.
2. About 12 pet enclosures, some quite large like the 55g and rat cage.
3. I have a husband, and family housing was even more expensive than regular dorm housing.
4. I'm generally more anti-social. If I did live on campus for socializing, it would only be to see two or three people.
5. I just don't like campus housing or food. xD
But, I realize most people aren't in that situation. If I still had lived with my parents, I would have fought tooth and nail to get to live on campus. Do what makes you happy! :D My advice is to stay on top of deadlines and be dedicated to what you're doing. And then I know you'll do fine in college.
Oh, I'd like to rant some more about something that's bothering me. Gas prices. I know it's stereotypical, but if I drove any other car than what I have, I would be unable to get my education. For example, the car I had before this one got 18mpg. That would be $50 a week. We're really poor and can't pay that much for gas. I drive 225 miles (exactly) a week ONLY FOR SCHOOL. (I live in nowhere.) Luckily, the car I drive now gets around 40mpg. I could get more if I drove the same car but manual instead of automatic, but I haven't learned yet.
I would have to take the snake too, if I went out east.. I can see coming home to feed every 3 weeks if I was in Quebec, but if I was on the coast he'd have to come with me... I'm one of those people that finds parting with pets illogical. xD If I could bring everyone that'd be great!
Laki, Olympia, you guys are making my eyes bug out. When my brother went to the Rhode Island School of Design, it was around $25,000 a year for tuition only back in 1996-2000. Now I believe the rate has jumped much closer to $30,000 or over.
All that money for a furniture design degree that HE NEVER FREAKIN' USES! *tears hair out*
agoodyear, if your platy was kept in a tank with male platies, she's pregnant. She might not be very pregnant yet. She'll get bigger.
I just bought two plants and I have no idea what they are. LFS had them as "assorted stem plants." Plonked them in, gonna hope for the best and got two MTS attached to them as a bonus.
