Naww don't get cartridges, those will have carbon. Sponge, filter floss, bio balls and ceramic beads are all nice, not sure how much room you have in there.

Thinking to buy a 10 gallon and try the whole fiddler/hermit/red clawed crabs thing.. You know, instead of more bettas. After the 90 gallon, it'll just be goldies and the cichilds for a while, can't decide what else I want.

the top fin 30 has quite a bit of room. I think I'm putting it in my 10 gallon (which may mean I have to make a top for it but oh well xD I really like that it's adjustable. I'll look at the aquaclear stuff friday.

Um quick question. Just bought a 6500k light. The only way it fits in my hood is if I remove the rubber. So I did. Now it sort of hangs down if it's screwed in. I didn't even try to see if it works yet. DO you think it's safe?

ETA- the rubber is a thick band like thing that secures the bulb in the rthing. I guess it also prevents water from getting inside.
