Oh cholla might be even better because I don't think it leeches tannins like Malaysian driftwood. Cholla is actually some kind of dried cactus, not even a wood. If you have an option, get the cholla.

EDIT: Hahaha, no. It just means you'll have many generations of Darroh babies. :)

Ironic because i got the mopani because i knew it released tannins...

does IAL have the same effect on snails or is it just the mopani?

I would think IAL would have the same effect and yet I just read from a snail breeder that they love to eat hardwood leaves like IAL. o.O
