Dont worry about the radiation from medical machines. Though it is there for a while it will eventually disperse. And once it is in your tissues it goes nowhere else. For all intents and purposes you have absorbed it. And thats the idea for those machines to work. Your pets and everyone else is completely safe.
As a word of advice and since I see that you are concerned about such things (and rightly so) and without me wanting to scare you, know that electronic divises such as a cell phone, a wireless phone or a wireless modem, add more radiation levels in the immediate area (and that is been absorbed by all available bodies in the vicinity), than a CT scan does, by virtue of been exposed to them every day. So if you can minimize their use. For the cell phone ironically a hands free or a blue tooth set reduce the emissions as are certain cell phone containers / bags /housing dunno how you call them.
