Neil: Since I was raised by white folks, I'm trying to get in touch with my Asian side now, hehehe.
Tisia: Aww, the poor guy. Didn't you mention he had some SBD issues, too?
Pitluvs: Such tiny plecos! Maybe it was sick to begin with? I'm beginning to wonder about pet store fish. I mean, they get shipped to the store from who knows where so that stresses them. Then they get to the store and the care is usually mediocre at best, so that stresses them even more. So by the time we get them, they're probably so stressed even the most careful acclimation pushes them over the edge. :( Poor fishies.
MissRockyHorror: So cruel, tempting me with all those fish tanks so close by . . . I neeeeed a fiiiiiiiish rooooom! Haha, the actual tank and the fish usually are the cheapest part of getting a tank. The hood, the, filter, the decorations, the heater . . . gagh. I can feel my bank account shrinking just by thinking about it.
Actually, this pleco came from a breeder, and was on a bus for 5h. So no, not pet store lol Actually our pet store only sells Common Plecos, and when they get too big, they will take them back. Then they sell them to people with large tanks for like $30. Nice system eh?
I think it was something on my part. The 5g isn't cycled but I have many many many live plants in the tank with the 6 fish and the plecos. *sigh* That's just how it goes I guess!
Oh and I only drool over Jensen Ackles... hubba hubba
Hehe. He's cute all right, but it's that Aussie accent of Hugh Jackman's that I love. Plus the fact that he can sing and dance (huge musical theater buff am I).
That's odd about your pleco. :( One of my panda cories is acting sick now. He's on his side barely breathing. I've heard they sleep this way but you'd think he'd wake up when netted and moved to a QT. I think it's SBD but I have no idea how to treat it in cory cats since they're sensitive to salt.
