Someone please help me. I have already killed one betta I really dont want to kill this one. I dont know what I am doing wrong. My betta is in a 2 gallon tank... I have read that you are not supposed to use distilled water I will change that tomorrow. But my luckie boy is floating at the top and seems like he can not swim. HELP what can I do? I have epsom salt on hand will that help him? I dont want him to die I just got him today and hes sooo pretty!
Do you have a heater? Change the water multiple times a week, and if so, what percent of water do you change? Did you add dechlorinator/tap water conditioner to the water? What are the water parameters? Nitrites? Nitrates? Ammonia? pH? Hardness?
We need to know everything we can about his environment, the more the better.
Sadly, sometimes they just are too far gone or are just too sick to be saved, and die despite doing everything that can be done.
omg don't even. I go to Nova Scotia for the holidays and bf's dad is loving the history channel, I sit dowm, "what's on?".. "pawn stars". -_-
Seriously getting fed up with these live plants. The hygro is systematically dying. Duck weed on top is browning a little, hornwort is always coated in algae (think, algae netting going arounf the spikes like a bubble) and the only thing in there actually growing is java ferns and anubias. The marimo is dark forest green too.
Waiting on coffee, Matt's going up to get a large tin of it.
