I always worry the telescope eyes are gonna get popped. Of the fancies, I like ryukins best. :D

I like the congos. They chase each other all over and they're soo pretty. But . . . but . . . dang. I need more tanks.

Let's see . . . my original plan was, when I move, to do some musical tanks.

Fish in 20gal go to 29gal
Fish in 29gal go to 55gal
Sparky goes to something bigger. I was almost thinking of getting a 200gal tank (or something that is 4feet or longer) and dividing it. I know, sounds weird. One side for Sparky, one side for cichlids or something. Overpowered canister filter for each side. If I did, maybe the congos could go with the cichlids. Then I can get goldies.

Or I should just be content with my skittish, nervous koi and comet goldfish whom I never see. -___-

Too bad fancies aren't as hardy or I'd put a few in the pond. But it does get down to the 30's in winter soooo . . .

I can dangle my hand in the water until it goes numb from cold and they just skulk on the bottom like plecos. If I want to actually interact with them I have to drain the water until there's less than half. Then I can actually reach in and touch them and they're like "What? Why you touching me?"

I think it's because they were all tank-raised and not raised in big vats. All the koi I see who are in big vats know how to come up to the surface to beg for food but mine don't.
